What do I need to play this game?
Battle of Gods is a browser based game. This means that you do not have to download anything to play it. All that you need is to have flash player installed in your browser.
Do I need to pay to play this game?
No, Battle of Gods is completely free. However we do accept donations.
What kind of game is it?
Battle of Gods combines both RPG and strategy elements.
What are the resources in the game?
The game features the following resources: gold, lumber, stone, wood and diamonds. Except the last one, all of these resources can be produced in the game.
How can I acquire diamonds?
The only way to acquire diamonds is by donating.
What is leadership and how does it affect me?
Leadership is an attribute that describes the amount of troops that your hero can lead. Every time your hero levels, his leadership increases by 100. Leadership can be gained also from items.
How many troops can I carry and how can i find out that?
Each individual unit has a specific required leadership (you can see this in the unit's tooltip). You can find out how many troops you can carry of a certain unit type by dividing your hero's leadership to the required leadership of the unit in question.
What happens when I level up?
Every time you level up you gain 3 attribute points and 3 skill points to distribute. You also gain some extra life.
When hunting, is there a chance of finding resources?
From time to time, depending on how lucky you are, you may stumble uppon treasure.
How can I see the minimap?
Before you can see the minimap you must first aquire it. You can do that either from a NPC (Non Playable Character), merchant or quest or you can buy it from the Auction House (if someone is selling it).
After a battle, what do you gain?
Each battle fought and won earns you experience and gold. The quantity depends on the monsters you are fighting. Also, there is a small chance of an item to drop from that monster. However, if you loose the battle you will gain nothing.
How can I see how much life my hero has left in a battle?
By going over the hero with the mouse, there is a tooltip displayed on the right of the battle log (bottom right). You can also observe different stats for the hero/monster/unit you are highlighting.
I've received an item, where can I find it?
Please go to the Hero screen and look in your backpack. If you can not see the new item, maybe you should move other items in your backpack around as the item might be covered by another item.
I can't seem to find my town with my hero
The button to teleport you hero to the town is located in the top left corner of the minimap, right under the questbook button.
How can I leave the settlement?
There is a button labeled Leave town located on the bottom section of your Settlement screen.
Where can I purchace items?
You can purchace items from Tibor in the merchant screen. The only problem is that you will only find poor and common quality items. The items Tibor is selling change every day. Another place to purchace items is the Auction House. Here you might find better quality items.
What is stamina?
Stamina is a term used to describe the ammount of actions your hero can perform in Exploration mode. Every time you move on the map or enter a battle you loose some stamina. Each hero receives 50 stamina per hour.
My hero is dead. What do I do now?
You can resurrect your hero. Go to the settlement screen and locate the hero shrine/altar. Click on it and you will get a screen that will enable you to resurrect your hero.
How long does it take to resurrect my hero?
The resurrection time is 5 seconds for every level.
Are there item sets? What do they do?
There are item sets that can be obtained by doing quests or by hunting elite monsters. When you equip the complete set, you will gain additional bonuses.
I have found a bug. What should I do?
You can report it using the ticket system or you can post it in the Bugs section found in the forums.
The game is running very slow, but seemed to be working fine at one beginning, why?
Due to a faulty garbage collection, some objects remain persistent and slow down your computer. Refresh the page from time to time and you'll notice an increase in performance. Also if you have a very slow computer, you should try setting the display preferences to a lower value. Also you might want to update your Flash™ Player.
The game is consuming a lot of memory or/or the CPU usage has skyrocketed, why?
As stated above, this is due to faulty garbage collection. Please refresh the page or try to update your Flash™ Player.
I'm stuck. The game does not load. What can I do?
Try to refresh the page. If the problem persists use the ticket system or post the problem in the forums and we will try to solve it as fast as possible.
I have the latest flash player intalled but the game will not work. Help?
The first solution is to try and start the game from FailSafe mode. If that does not work, please try running the game from another browser. Please send an e-mail to support at battleofgods dot com if you encountered this problem.
I have the latest flash player installed, failsafe mode does not work, what should I do?
A solution that may work is to first uninstall your Flash™ Player from the following link and try re-installing it from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/. If that does not fix the problem, please contact us at support at battleofgods dot com.
